Practice Areas:
Family Law | Minor & Adult Guardianship | Guardian ad Litem (GAL)
People facing divorce, custody questions, or guardianship concerns often need both practical guidance and steady support. Annalee Foster represents individuals and families in Jefferson and Kitsap Counties.
Annalee Foster brings thoughtful preparation and a strong child-centered perspective to family law and guardianship matters.
Her work includes divorce proceedings, minor and adult guardianships, parenting plans, child support, and Guardian ad Litem appointments. She has completed CASA, GAL, and guardianship training and has represented parents in dependency proceedings.
With a Master of Science in Family & Human Development, Annalee approaches these cases with a grounded understanding of family systems and child development. She understands that when custody or guardianship issues arise, families are often navigating significant stress and uncertainty. Her role is to provide clarity, structure, and steady advocacy.
Whether guiding clients through divorce proceedings, helping a family establish a guardianship to protect a loved one, or assisting a parent in developing a workable parenting plan, Annalee works to ensure her clients understand both the legal framework and the practical realities of their situation.
Clear Advice. Careful Preparation. Steady Representation.
Annalee believes effective advocacy begins with listening and grounds her representation in an understanding of her clients’ goals and an honest assessment of the applicable law. She takes time to understand her clients’ concerns and clearly explains the law.
She prepares her cases methodically, applying the law carefully and presenting well-supported arguments. She works closely with clients to address custody and property issues and related family law concerns, guiding them through each stage of the court process with clear communication and practical advice.
Experience That Informs Her Practice
Before entering the legal profession, Annalee worked for many years as a technical writer in the high-tech industry, including work with Hewlett-Packard and other technology companies. That background strengthened her ability to analyze complex information and communicate it clearly — skills that now benefit her legal clients.
Annalee graduated from law school in 2013 and was first admitted to practice in Colorado in 2015. She relocated to Washington in 2017 and was admitted to the Washington State Bar the same year.
She continues to pursue continuing legal education to remain current in her areas of practice.
Annalee enjoys the outdoors, including time in the mountains and visits to national and state parks. She moved to Washington in part for its proximity to the sea and climate and considers herself West Coast at heart. She also enjoys travel. At home, she keeps busy with four rescued cats.
She volunteered with the Skagit County Conservation District and has provided pro bono legal services with local agencies that offer low-cost legal services.
